With the reopening of our Museum Wing in October 2026, the Arts and Crafts Gallery will be closed from June to accommodate object moves and a new entrance to the Museum.
Before it closes, we would like to offer visitors the chance to take a more in-depth look at the collection, with guided tours from local Arts and crafts expert Sarah Middleton. She will take you on a journey through the gallery, exploring the makers and objects in more detail, sharing stories that bring the objects to life.
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the Arts and Crafts Movement as well as the makers and their relationships and collaborative practice, behind the objects.
About Sarah
Sarah Middleton is a painter, art historian and lecturer. She studied Italian and History of Art at UCL and courses at The Courtauld and Slade School of Fine Art. Sarah works as a communications consultant and lectures all over the Cotswolds, including giving Arts & Crafts Tours in Painswick.
