December: Wilson Family Collection Time to celebrate!
Edward Adrian Wilson was one of the first people to commemorate Midwinter’s Day in Antarctica. Officially falling on 21 June, the shortest day of the Antarctic winter, Wilson and his team incorporated many Christmas traditions into their Midwinter celebrations. Join Senior Curator Phillippa Turner as she shares some important objects and stories from our collections.
